Arizona Tax Credit Information

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ARIZONA TAX CREDIT

Invest in Arizona’s students by investing in their future by contributing to the private school state tax credit. Your decision to invest in our foundation over the last 24 years has provided hundreds of scholarship awards for deserving Arizona students. Thank you for your past support and current consideration as a donor to the Orme Primavera Schools Foundation!

Last year

The Orme-Primavera Schools Foundation raised $309,857.00 from Arizona taxpayers. Those funds were distributed to 20 students at Primavera School Pre-K - 6th grade in Prescott and to 18 students at the Orme School in Mayer. Your participation in this unique opportunity to support private education directly in Arizona through the state tax credit program is deeply appreciated and shows your belief in providing an exceptional education to deserving students in our state.

Grandparents, parents, alumni, friends, and relatives

Residing in Arizona can all participate and help in this very worthy endeavor. A married couple filing a joint return for 2023 may give up to $1,308 to a qualified student tuition organization and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit from the State of Arizona. Single taxpayers may give up to $655. The “Switcher/Plus” tax credit allows donors to claim an additional tax credit–OVER AND ABOVE–the original tax credit. Donors must first meet the $1,308 (married) or $655 (single) Original Tax Credit Program maximum in order to claim the Switcher/PLUS tax credit. The PLUS credit maximums are $652 for single filers and $1,301 for married filing joint filers. Your support of the Orme–Primavera Schools Foundation means that more Arizona students will have the opportunity to experience the many things that make a Primavera School Pre-K - 6th grade and an Orme School education so exceptional.

The state law

Requires that our foundation have a 501 (c)(3) designation and that 90% of all the revenues will be paid out in scholarships. The law also states that our foundation may not limit the availability of scholarships to students of one school. That is why you may designate your preference for a majority of your contribution to either Primavera School Pre-K - 6th grade or to the Orme School. You may also choose to have the majority of your contribution be split equally between the two schools.

A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict, or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent.

Please share this information

With others you know that might consider giving to this very worthwhile organization while receiving a dollar-for-dollar tax credit in the process! You decide where your tax dollars will be spent and know that you have invested well in the future of education! Thank you for your support.

Please ensure that your donation is made by April 15, 2024 for a 2023 tax credit.
